Monsoon Winds Bring Cloudy Weather and Rainfall Across Country

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that western and local winds are currently influencing the western and central parts of Nepal, while monsoon winds have started impacting most areas of Koshi Province.
According to the department's latest forecast, this afternoon is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. The rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies.
There is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki. Isolated rainfall may also occur in other provinces. High hills and mountainous regions could see light rain and snowfall in some locations.
Tonight, the weather is forecasted to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. The possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning persists in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki, with isolated rainfall expected in other parts of the country. The high hilly and mountainous regions may again experience light rain and snowfall.
The Meteorological Division has urged the public to stay updated with official weather forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially in the affected areas.
